What are the responsibilities and job description for the Assistant Director position at Little Adventures?
We are looking to hire a full-time Assistant Director at Little Adventures.
Job responsibility include but are not limited to:
- Day to day management of staff
- Communication with staff, parents, and other directors via email, phone and face to face
- Scheduling of employees
- Hiring of Employees
- Fill in as teacher if needed
Under Wisconsin Administrative Code for Group Child Care centers, Assistant Directors must meet the following qualifications:
- Be 21 years of age.
- Have completed high school or it's equivalent.
- Have at least 2 years experience as a child care teacher or center director in a licensed care center.
- Prior to beginning work as an assistant director have completes ONE of the following training requirements:
- 4 non credit department approved courses in early childhood education or its equivalent, and withing 3 years of assuming the position, the Wisconsin Child Care Administrator Credential.
- 4 courses for credit in early childhood education from an institution of higher education
- An Associate's or Bachelor's degree in early child hood education
- A license to act as a Kindergarten or Pre-kindergarten teacher
- A certificate from the registry that indicates Registry Level 14 or higher

Pay: $46,000.00 - $50,000.00 per year
