About the job: Relate process variables to device parameters and ratings empirically to assist in yield improvement and establishing process capability for new products. Process information gathered from customers, Sales, upper management and internal departments to ensure product data and product performance support data sheet content. Initiate, revise, & update reference notes, app notes, UL listing, SIDACtor catalogue, & data sheets. Coordinate problem solving activities between fab and assembly/test. Analyze and resolve technical and administrative problems that occur during the life of assigned projects. Evaluate the results of failure analysis and reliability testing to ensure corrective actions are generated and implemented when necessary. Determine and plan the activities necessary to produce quality products that are manufacturable and profitable. Work with Operations on cost savings and yield improvement projects involving current product and processes; Work with Product Management & Engineering to determine customer needs for new products; Work with various manufacturing groups to specify and/or develop the necessary processes and/or equipment to produce prototype and Pilot Production parts. Interface with customer through joint conference calls with Product Management, Regional Sales technical training seminars, face-to-face meetings (either at their location or in our lab) to solve their protection needs with Silicon products. Work with New Product Development teams to establish process capability for new products and resulting data sheet parameters. About you: Bachelor or Master degree in Engineering (Semiconductor, Electrical, Material Science, Physics or Chemical), Chemistry, Physics, or Math/Statistics. At least 10 total years experience in the Semiconductor industry with two or more of the following: Semiconductor design Semiconductor manufacturing (processes and/or equipment) Electrical testing (procedures and/or equipment) Customer Applications Materials selection Has experience working in or working with a foundry. Computer literate – proficient in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, MS Project and a CAD system such as AUTOCAD, CADKEY and/or SOLID WORKS Extensive communications skills (written and verbal). Design and Analysis of Experiments capability. Presentation experience.
