Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and strategic Procurement Officer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the procurement process, managing vendor relationships, negotiating contracts, and ensuring cost-effective purchasing aligned with company standards and policies. This role plays a critical part in maintaining optimal inventory levels, ensuring timely delivery, and supporting operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Source, evaluate, and select suppliers based on price, quality, and delivery timelines.
- Negotiate contracts, terms, and pricing with suppliers and vendors.
- Prepare purchase orders and maintain accurate procurement records.
- Monitor and forecast upcoming levels of demand for products and services.
- Coordinate with internal departments to determine procurement needs and specifications.
- Ensure compliance with procurement policies and procedures.
- Conduct market research and cost analysis to identify opportunities for cost savings.
- Track orders and ensure timely delivery.
- Resolve issues related to quality, delivery, or pricing discrepancies.
- Maintain and update a database of approved suppliers and vendor performance.
- Assist with inventory management and control.
- Collaborate with the finance department to ensure proper documentation for payments.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
- Proven experience as a Procurement Officer, Buyer, or similar role.
- Strong knowledge of procurement processes and sourcing strategies.
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and procurement software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or similar).
- High attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Professional certification (e.g., CIPS, CPSM) is a plus.
- Experience in Government or insurance contracts

Pay: $70,000.00 - $72,477.00 per year
