As a Flexible Printing Packaging Sales Representative, you will drive sales growth and market expansion within your assigned territory. This is a consultative, business-to-business (B2B) sales role where you will partner with brand managers, purchasing directors, and packaging engineers to provide custom printed rollstock and stand-up pouches. You will be responsible for the entire sales cycle—from prospecting and lead generation to negotiating contracts and managing key accounts.
Responsibilities
- Business Development: Actively prospect, identify, and qualify new business opportunities for flexible packaging (stand-up pouches, rollstock, and high-barrier laminates).
- Consultative Selling: Collaborate with clients to understand their packaging needs, advising on materials, structural design, and machinability across Form, Fill, and Seal (FFS) equipment.
- Account Management: Manage and grow existing accounts by building strong, trust-based relationships with decision-makers.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with Lithotype’s pre-press, customer service, and production teams to ensure customer specifications and rapid turnaround times are met.
- Pipeline Management: Maintain an accurate sales pipeline and forecasting reports using company CRM software.
- Market Awareness: Monitor industry trends, competitor activities, and emerging packaging technologies to identify new revenue streams.
- Proven experience in B2B sales within the flexible packaging or related industries; prior success in technology or industrial sales is highly valued
- Strong negotiation skills with the ability to close deals effectively while fostering long-term relationships
- Demonstrated business development capabilities with a proactive approach to generating new leads
- Familiarity with CRM platforms such as Salesforce for managing sales pipelines and customer data
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts clearly
- Analytical mindset with the ability to assess market data, customer needs, and competitive landscapes
- Experience in account management with a focus on delivering exceptional customer service
- Knowledge of marketing principles as they relate to sales enablement strategies
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within cross-functional teams
- A professional attitude combined with leadership qualities that inspire confidence in clients and colleagues alike
- Experience: 3-5 years of B2B sales experience, with a proven track record in the printing, packaging, or converting industry.
- Industry Knowledge: Solid understanding of flexible packaging formats (pouches, sachets, rollstock) and printing technologies (web offset, flexography).
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Packaging, or a related field is highly preferred (equivalent relevant experience considered).
- Communication: Exceptional negotiation, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Sales Acumen: Proficiency with modern CRM tools, sales analytics, and pipeline management.
- Travel: Willingness to travel regionally for client visits and industry trade shows.

The base pay for this role is $125,000 plus a commission plan.
