Key Responsibilities
- Operate Somero or equivalent laser‑guided screed equipment to place and level concrete slabs to exact grade and flatness requirements
- Set up, calibrate, and maintain laser transmitters, receivers, and screed equipment
- Read and interpret elevations, slopes, layout points, and grade control systems
- Coordinate with the Place & Finish Foreman, pump operator, and finishing crew during slab placement
- Assist with concrete placement, raking, vibrating, and consolidation as needed
- Perform daily equipment inspections, cleaning, and basic maintenance
- Ensure all work meets Frontline’s quality standards, FF/FL tolerances, and safety expectations
- Support large slab pours, tilt‑up panels, industrial floors, and distribution center projects
- Prior experience operating a Somero laser screed (S‑15R, S‑22EZ, S‑940, or similar)
- Strong understanding of slab‑on‑grade placement and finishing processes
- Ability to read grade stakes, elevations, and layout points
- Comfortable working early mornings, long pours, and production‑driven schedules
- Commitment to safety, teamwork, and high‑quality workmanship
- Ability to lift, bend, and work in varying weather conditions
- Valid driver’s license preferred
