About the Employer
MEET LITERACY PARTNERS Literacy Partners is a boutique educational consulting firm that uses innovative practices for professional development in literacy. We work side-by-side with educators to help them incorporate a workshop approach to teaching. This method helps them cultivate more engaged students who love reading and writing. By focusing on what kids want to learn, we create more independent students who become stronger readers, writers, and creative thinkers. The intersection of passion and urgency is where Literacy Partners was born. The founding director, Dahlia Dallal has spent 20 years consulting in schools across the country and internationally. She has trained teachers, coaches, and administrators in all areas of balanced literacy. Before starting Literacy Partners in 2011, Dahlia spent 7 years working at the Teachers College Reading and Writing Project in NYC with Lucy Calkins. Dahlia was inspired to create Literacy Partners with the mission of bringing more innovative practices in literacy to educators by encouraging students to use their unique voice, become future leaders and make a difference in the world. In your role at Literacy Partners, you will work closely with Dahlia and learn and grow from her many years of expertise in the field. As an LGBTQ-owned company, we’re committed to advocating for diversity and inclusion in our staff and with our clients.
