Job Overview
We are seeking a passionate Educator who is trained in structured literacy. It is a plus if the Educator is trained in teaching math to students with learning differences. This role involves working 1:1 with students grades K through 4 in our San Carlos office. The sessions take place on Sundays from 10 am - 3 pm. Sessions are 55 minutes each. We ask that you show up at 9:30 am to prepare for your 5 back-to-back sessions.
Schedule/Location
- The ability to travel to our San Carlos office.
- Available every Sunday from 9:30 am - 3 pm.
Requirements
- Trained in structured literacy (Orton-Gillingham, Wilson, PAF, LTRS, etc.)
- Experience working with students 1:1.
- Strong skills in lesson planning and behavior management.
- A genuine passion for teaching and helping students succeed.
Duties
- Develop and implement engaging lesson plans tailored to individual student needs.
- Include weekly session recaps.
- Monitor student progress and adjust teaching strategies as necessary to meet diverse learning styles.
- Foster a love for learning by incorporating fun and interactive activities into sessions.
Compensation
- $100 per session
- This is a contractor role.
- The Educator should expect $500 per Sunday, given full attendance from families.
