The Technical Account Engineer (TAE) serves as the primary technical interface between the company and automotive customers, supporting the integration and application of powertrain systems and components (front end accessory drives), and thermal management products. This role bridges engineering and sales and is a key member of the cross-function team to ensure solutions meet customer performance, cost, and timing targets throughout the product lifecycle.

What you will do:

Act as the main technical point of contact for OEM and Tier 1 customers.

Build strong working relationships with customer engineering, sales, and program teams.

Translate customer requirements into internal engineering specifications.

Lead technical discussions, presentations, and product reviews with customers.

Must be in tune with customer expectations, standards and customer specific requirements (such as unique reporting). Ability to identify opportunities and suggest suitable Litens solutions to meet customer needs and provide customer with confidence of the application using FMEA, DRBFM, and Simulation Tools. This requires strong technical skills, knowledge and understanding of product design (in house Simulation Tools), validation, quality, and 3D CAD.

Support customers onsite by routine visitation. Present RFQ technical proposals to the customer.

Support the integration of powertrain components, engine systems, and thermal management solutions into customer platforms.

Conduct feasibility assessments and ensure customer requirements align with product capabilities.

Provide technical guidance during design, validation, and launch phases.

Customize or adapt products to meet specific customer applications.

Coordinate cross-functional teams (design, validation, manufacturing, and quality) to meet customer deliverables.

Support APQP (Advanced Product Quality Planning) and product launch activities.

Analyze performance issues and support root cause investigations.

Provide solutions for system-level integration challenges (engine cooling, thermal efficiency, emissions, etc.).

Assist in validation testing, data analysis, and reporting.

Support sales and business development activities by providing technical expertise.

Participate in RFQs (Requests for Quotation) and cost/feasibility evaluations.

What you will bring:

Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or automotive engineering with 3–5 years of experience in automotive engineering, preferably in powertrain, engine systems, or thermal management.

Experience working directly with OEMs or Tier 1 suppliers.

Strong understanding of: Internal combustion engines and/or electrified powertrains; Cooling systems and thermal management technologies; Automotive development processes (V-cycle, APQP).

Ability to interpret engineering drawings, CAD models, and test data.

Experienced / knowledge of customer standards and customer specific requirements; strong technical skills, knowledge and understanding of product design (in-house AB3), validation, quality, including industry tools DFMEA, AFMEA, DRBFM, FTA (8D). SolidWorks 3D CAD and/or SimDrive.

Must be able and willing to travel and maintain valid passport.
