What are the responsibilities and job description for the Lifeguard and WSI Instructors position at Litchfield Independent School District?
- Current American Red Cross Lifeguard and/or WSI, CPR and First Aid Certifications a plus or willingness to invest and attend training
- Able to sit/stand for up to 4 hours
- Must be able to lift at least 50 pounds
- Ability to work a minimum of 2 shifts (approximately 10 hours) per week in the summer.
- Excellent communication skills
- Provide CPR/AED to infants, children, adults, first aid techniques and water rescue techniques as needed
- Acts in emergency situations and provides rescue and first aid assistance up to his or her training level until medical personnel arrive.
- Responsible for daily maintenance in and around the pool facility as well as locker rooms
- Enforce pool rules and regulations on a consistent basis to ensure safety
- Fills out reports for incidents or other records for reference.
- Hourly rate is dependent on position.
