Job Summary: Lake Ripley Elementary School is seeking a dedicated, student-centered Long-Term Substitute Teacher to provide instructional services for a 3rd-grade classroom during an extended teacher absence. The successful candidate will create a positive learning environment, implement district curriculum, foster strong relationships with students and families, and collaborate effectively with staff to support student growth and achievement.

Essential Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging instruction aligned with Minnesota Academic Standards and district curriculum.
• Create a safe, respectful, and inclusive classroom environment that promotes student learning and positive behavior.
• Assess student learning and use data to inform instructional decisions.
• Maintain accurate student records, attendance, and grades as required.
• Communicate effectively with students, families, and staff regarding student progress and classroom activities.
• Collaborate with grade-level teams, specialists, support staff, and administration.
• Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse academic, social, emotional, and behavioral needs of students.
• Implement accommodations and modifications as outlined in student educational plans.
• Participate in staff meetings, professional learning opportunities, and school events as appropriate.

Qualifications

• Valid Minnesota Teaching License in Elementary Education or ability to obtain appropriate substitute teaching credentials.
• Strong classroom management and organizational skills.
• Knowledge of elementary instructional practices and child development.
• Ability to build positive relationships with students, families, and colleagues.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
