What are the responsibilities and job description for the Sterile Processing Technician position at Litchfield Hills Surgery Center?
We are seeking a highly skilled Certified, (must provide proof of certification with resume), Sterile Processing Technician to join our team and provide assistance in the operating room, and purchasing. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing the instrumentation/sterilization of all items needed for surgical procedures. The Technician must be able to work efficiently and accurately in a fast-paced environment, as well as have a strong understanding of the sterilization process. Able to work independently and handle multiple tasks. Able to work within a team environment.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and maintain surgical instruments and equipment.
- Provide assistance with operating room turnovers, emptying trash, medical gas management, (calling when refills needed).
- Assisting with purchasing supplies needed to maintain daily functions of the ASC.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $20.00 - $24.00 per hour
Expected hours: 32 – 40 per week
