Childcare Floater Teacher
Position Summary:
We are looking for a flexible, dependable, and positive Floater Teacher to support classrooms throughout our childcare facility. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys variety and is passionate about helping wherever needed to ensure a smooth and successful day for children and staff.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide support across multiple classrooms, stepping in as needed to maintain appropriate staff-to-child ratios
- Assist lead and assistant teachers with daily routines, activities, and classroom management
- Help create a safe, engaging, and nurturing environment for children of all ages
- Follow classroom schedules and center policies consistently
- Build positive relationships with children, staff, and families
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in classrooms and shared spaces
- Ensure compliance with Alabama Minimum Standards at all times
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience in a childcare setting preferred but not required
- Ability to adapt quickly and work well in different classroom environments
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
- Reliable, flexible, and willing to jump in where needed
