What are the responsibilities and job description for the Event Draping Installer position at LIT Charleston?
Lit Charleston is a full-service event rental and production company that creates custom-designed environments for Charleston’s top weddings and events. We’re seeking experienced drape installers to join our setup team for tented and ballroom installations.
What You’ll Do
- Install ceiling and wall draping for weddings and large-scale events
- Work on ladders and lifts to safely hang fabric panels in tents, venues, and ballrooms
- Assist in measuring, cutting, and properly securing drape hardware and materials
- Collaborate with the production team to execute high-quality event designs
- Maintain professionalism while working in luxury venues and private estates
What We’re Looking For
- Prior experience installing fabric or draping for events, theater, or production environments
- Comfortable working at heights and on ladders
- Strong attention to detail and craftsmanship
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work efficiently as part of a team
- Ability to lift and carry materials, hardware, and equipment
- Weekend availability is required
- Valid driver’s license preferred
Compensation
- Day rate starting at $250 for up to 6 hours of work (rate based on skill and experience) Job may take less than 6 hours. Day rate covers 6 hours or less of time. If the set up takes more than 6 hours an additional hourly rate will be negotiated.
- Additional opportunities for full-day setups and ongoing production work available
