Medical Biller

Position Overview:
List Psychological Services is looking for a Medical Biller to join our central office team! This is an exciting opportunity for an individual who is eager to learn and grow in the field of medical billing while supporting our mission to help clients improve their mental health and address substance use challenges. As a Medical Biller, you will be a key part of our operations, ensuring timely, accurate billing and claims processes. You'll also be integral to our team by showing up with a strong work ethic and commitment to excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

· Compile and enter data for client services, ensuring accuracy and completeness.

· Verify client eligibility for insurance coverage and work with clients and insurance providers as needed.

· Prepare and submit claims/invoices to insurance companies, ensuring timely processing of claims.

· Post charges, payments, and adjustments to client accounts using billing software and internal systems.

· Follow up on insurance company receivables and resolve outstanding claims efficiently.

· Maintain and update billing records, ensuring compliance with HIPAA and industry standards.

· Collaborate with multiple departments to resolve any billing-related issues in a positive and professional manner.

· Maintain confidentiality of client information in adherence with HIPAA guidelines.

Qualifications:

· Willingness to Learn: Open to training and acquiring skills related to medical billing, especially in the mental health and substance use fields.

· Previous Experience (Preferred): Experience in billing, accounts receivable, or other related administrative roles is preferred, but not required.

· General Office Skills: Proficient in word processing, computer use, typing, and phone etiquette.

· Attention to Detail: Exceptional organizational skills with a focus on accuracy and thoroughness.

· Collaboration: Ability to work collaboratively with multiple teams and departments in a respectful and professional manner.
