POSITION STATEMENT:
The purpose of this position is to understand fully the need of an end user, often through a partner/dealer, and utilize DeBourgh tools and pricing strategies to provide pricing for projects in need of storage.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Be able to read and understand quote requests that include drawings, specifications, and related documents.
- Communicate and consult professionally with customers/dealers regarding project details to accurately price the scope of work.
- Use digital tools to generate accurate price estimates.
- Ensure quality output by paying close attention to detail, double checking work, and providing timely completion of estimates according to request deadline dates from customer/dealer.
- Keep quotes up to date by strategizing with partners/customers around the progress of the project. Ability to move a project forward and “close” on the opportunity post quote.
- Digitally store all pertinent information surrounding a project for a clear history.
- Exchange possession of all quote information and closing information to a Project Manager through a hand-off meeting once a purchase order has been obtained.
- Work on the manufacturing floor in order to maintain production levels during peak times.
OTHER DUTIES:
- Provide the highest level of customer service both externally and internally in accordance with DeBourgh culture.
- Answer phone calls and emails in a consistent, timely, and professional manner.
- Collaborate with different departments/team members for custom products.
- Build and maintain long-term relationships with partners/customers.
- Keep quote documents organized, labeled and in centralized location.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS Knowledge, Skill & Ability:
· Customer and Personal Service — Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services. This includes customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction.
- Communication Skills – Effective verbal and written communication skills. Should be able to adapt communication style to suit different audiences.
· Complex Problem Solving — Identifying complex problems and reviewing related information to develop and evaluate options and implement solutions.
· Attention to Detail – position requires being careful about detail and thorough in completing work tasks albeit repetitious work.
· Time Management — Managing one's own time and the time of others.
· Technology Skills – Proficient with electronic mail software, Office suite software (primarily Excel and Word), ERP software, Human Capital Management System, strong typing and data entry skills.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Two years’ experience and/or education with multiple computer applications.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY:
This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
MATERIAL AND EQUIPMENT DIRECTLY USED:
Computer, printer, telephone, photocopier, fax machine, product literature.
WORKING ENVIRONMENT/PHYSICAL ACTIVITIES:
This job requires a stationary position for most of the day and the employee will be expected to do most of the job while sitting in a chair with the option of standing at a raised desk. This position also requires heavy use of a computer and therefore several hours viewing a computer screen and the use of other computer implements such as a keyboard and mouse. The work environment may be distracting with conversations and phone calls by others in the work area. Some time may be spent gathering materials and preparing them for mailing with lifting requirements up to 20 pounds.
