The Lisbon Community School District is seeking a 7–12 Instructional Strategist II to join our secondary team. This position plays a critical role in supporting students with disabilities by providing specially designed instruction, collaborating with staff and families, and ensuring compliance with state and federal special education requirements.

Position Overview
The 7–12 Instructional Strategist II will work with students across grades 7–12 who require specialized instruction and support. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with general education teachers, administrators, families, and support staff to design and implement effective Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) that promote academic growth, independence, and postsecondary readiness.
Primary Responsibilities

Provide specially designed instruction (SDI) aligned to student IEP goals

Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs in compliance with IDEA and Iowa law

Collaborate with general education teachers to support inclusive practices

Collect, analyze, and report progress monitoring data

Participate in IEP meetings, problem-solving teams, and collaborative planning

Communicate effectively with parents/guardians regarding student progress

Support students with transition planning, including postsecondary goals

Maintain accurate and timely special education documentation
