Responsibilities
- Prepare and bake a wide range of baked goods such as bread, pastries, cakes, cookies, and specialty items following established recipes and standards
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including mixers, ovens, dough sheeters, and decorating tools
- Decorate cakes and pastries with precision using various cake decorating techniques to meet customer expectations
- Manage dough preparation, proofing, and baking processes to ensure freshness and quality
- Maintain a clean workspace by adhering to food safety protocols and sanitation standards throughout all stages of food production
- Package baked goods attractively for sale or delivery while ensuring proper food handling procedures are followed
- Assist in food preparation tasks related to catering events or high-volume production needs as required
Requirements
- Proven experience in baking or pastry preparation within a commercial kitchen or bakery environment
- Strong knife skills and proficiency in dough preparation techniques
- Knowledge of food safety management practices and adherence to hygiene standards
- Ability to operate various kitchen equipment safely and efficiently
- Excellent attention to detail for recipe adherence and presentation quality
- Basic math skills for measuring ingredients accurately
- Customer service orientation with the ability to work well under pressure in high-volume settings
- Culinary experience with cake decorating, food production, and catering is highly desirable
- Ability to maintain a clean workspace consistently while managing multiple tasks effectively
