This full-time Chief Executive Officer (CEO) role is an on-site position located in Oakland, CA. As the CEO, you will take a leadership role in driving the strategic vision and operational success of Lisa Gladden's Books. Responsibilities include overseeing all aspects of operations, developing and implementing business strategies, managing finances, building and maintaining relationships with stakeholders, and ensuring sustainable growth. You will also work closely with the team to expand sales and deliver on the company’s mission to inspire readers through storytelling.

• Strong expertise in Finance, with skills including budgeting, financial planning, and fiscal management
• Proficiency in Operations Management, with experience in streamlining processes and improving efficiency
• Knowledge of Business Planning and Strategic Planning to drive long-term company growth
• Proven ability in Sales and building revenue-generating strategies and partnerships
• Demonstrated leadership skills and the ability to inspire and manage cross-functional teams effectively
• Excellent decision-making and organizational abilities
• Prior experience in publishing, media, or creative industries is a plus
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Management, or a related field; MBA or equivalent experience is preferred
