Duties
- Perform comprehensive cleaning of new construction sites, including dust removal, debris clearance, and surface sanitation to prepare spaces for occupancy
- Execute detailed floor care tasks such as sweeping, mopping, buffing, and polishing to ensure spotless and durable flooring
- Use specialized cleaning equipment and products to clean windows, walls, ceilings, and fixtures effectively
- Assist with minor custodial tasks like trash removal, restocking supplies, and maintaining cleanliness of common areas within the construction site
- Support industrial cleaning efforts by handling heavy-duty tasks such as removing construction residues and preparing surfaces for final finishes
- Apply residential painting touch-ups or touch-up cleaning as needed to enhance the overall appearance of the project
- Conduct routine inspections to identify areas requiring additional attention or maintenance and report any safety hazards or damages promptly
- Collaborate with project managers and construction teams to coordinate cleaning schedules that align with project timelines
Qualifications
- Proven janitorial or custodial experience, preferably within commercial or industrial settings
- Strong knowledge of cleaning techniques including floor care, buffing, and use of cleaning machinery
- Experience with industrial cleaning processes and facilities maintenance is highly desirable
- Familiarity with residential painting or finishing work is a plus but not required
- Ability to operate cleaning equipment safely and efficiently; certification in equipment operation is advantageous
- Excellent attention to detail with a proactive attitude towards maintaining high standards of cleanliness
- Physical stamina to stand, bend, lift heavy objects, and perform demanding tasks throughout the workday
- Good communication skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team in fast-paced environments
