Responsibilities
- Perform thorough cleaning of designated areas including floors, restrooms, offices, and common spaces using appropriate cleaning equipment such as floor buffers and vacuums.
- Handle chemical agents safely by following proper chemical handling safety procedures and sanitation protocols to ensure a healthy environment.
- Conduct heavy lifting and manual handling tasks safely when moving furniture, supplies, or cleaning equipment.
- Maintain high standards of custodial care by performing floor care tasks such as buffing, stripping, waxing, and polishing floors to enhance facility appearance.
- Use commercial cleaning tools and equipment efficiently while adhering to safety protocol guidelines to prevent accidents or injuries.
- Assist with basic facilities maintenance tasks such as minor repairs or reporting issues requiring professional attention.
- Provide excellent customer service by responding promptly to client requests or concerns related to cleanliness or facility upkeep.
Experience
- Prior janitorial or custodial experience in commercial or residential settings is preferred.
- Familiarity with cleaning equipment including floor buffers, vacuums, and other custodial tools.
- Knowledge of chemical agent handling safety procedures and sanitation standards.
- Experience with industrial cleaning tasks such as heavy lifting, buffing, and floor care techniques.
- Proven ability to follow safety protocols diligently while maintaining high-quality cleaning standards.
- Previous porter or maintenance experience is a plus but not mandatory; training will be provided for the right candidate.
