Description
The role of the Front desk is essential to the business & is responsible for maintaining a smooth business workflow, operating phone system, emails and Meevo to ensure a consistent client experience. The Front Desk Rep pays close attention to detail, has a great conversation, is flexible, multitasks well, knows how to troubleshoot, works fast, is a team player and always practices professionalism. The Front desk rep will have thorough communication with the team to ensure books are accurate, guests' needs are me and artists stay on track. Front desk ensures guest records are up to date from number & email to birthday and formula notes & communicates any inconsistencies with a manager or the guest themself. Front of the house is responsible for maintaining the check in area, drink bar and retail area, notifying managers of any low inventory. He/She should ensure the guests feel a warm inviting atmosphere upon entering the building and are fully satisfied when leaving. The Front Desk rep must handle conflict well and be prepared to gently resolve any issues that arise. In downtime, the front desk will assist with capturing content relative to LBSS, folding towels, checking the front restroom for cleanliness, replenishing cups & drinks, replacing trash, returning calls and emails. Must be energetic, trustworthy, ready to learn, flexible, dependable, willing to work in a high speed-demanding environment, and motivated.Your work schedule and job demands will change as the Brand continues to grow. It is important to have a great work ethic, conversation and attitude. Customer service, team mindedness, professionalism, and guest experience is of the utmost importance. The Front Desk Rep must maintain a polished, professional appearance (Hair, Makeup, Attire) and conduct his/herself as representative of the Brand at all times.
Job Responsibilities and Duties
- Open & close space by turning on/off lights, locking/unlocking door, and open/close drawer. Maintain accurate drawer at end of shift
- Greet guests & walk-ins in a friendly and timely manner, maintain confidentiality. Assist other team members in down time to keep the salon flowing, give new guests a tour of space. Ensure building is “new guest” ready daily
- Operate front desk gmail, resolve customer complaints or concerns
- Review the reservation book daily for inconsistencies & confirm with artists, call guests who are late, process no show fees, capture customer credit card for file when making a reservation
- Suggest retail products, packages and gift cards, have knowledge of all services, promotions and loyalty reward program
- Make signs/flyers for front desk, post to social media
- Maintain the retail area, keep diffusers going, unplug at end of day, light candles, blowout at end of day.
- Receive inventory/shipments, enter into POS System. Notify managers of low inventory
- Maintain a uniform appearance and use luxury language
- Maintain a clean and professional work environment,sanitize and maintain equipment, launder and replace linens between sessions. Maintain neat and clutter free work and salon spaces, keeping magazines neat, candles and diffusers going,chairs,bowls,sinks and stations clean and wiped down. Notify manager of low inventory
- Maintain an active professional social media presence
- Perform minor housekeeping duties including: sweeping, vacuuming, dusting, cleaning mirrors, checking on restrooms, taking out trash, laundry, refreshing barbicide, restocking back bar, drink and coffee station, clean microwaves & wax pots, run short errands if needed.
- Be prepared for inspections (License Current, License Posted, Clean Station)
- Answer phones, return voicemails, take accurate messages,check in/out guests accurately. Sell retail, enter guest notes & schedule reservations
- Attend team buildings and meetings, brand events. Attend one on ones, be open to Coaching and Corrective Feedback
- Assist with training new team members
- Maintain Confidentiality of Brand (Logins, Pay Structure, Formulas, Codes etc)
Compensation
This is an entry level position starting at $16/hour depending on experience and capabilities. You will get 10% of all retail sales & paid time off after 1 year with our company. There are options for moving up with the brand and earning a salaried position as well as benefits. The salon will provide the POS System, business cards, uniform, brand merch, phone systems,& salon cleaning support, exceptional discounts on services for team members, retail discounts, & continuing education & training as needed.

- Associates or Bachelors Degree
- 1 years experience
- Previous Administrative experience is desired
- Active Professional Social Media Account
- Driver’s License
- Reliable Car, Daycare
