Position Overview
Lira Electric is seeking an experienced Electrical Project Manager to lead commercial and federal electrical projects in the Tucson market. This role is critical to the continued growth and stability of our Tucson operations and requires a calm, detail-oriented leader who can manage projects from award through closeout while maintaining strong client relationships.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage electrical projects from kickoff through closeout
- Lead submittals, RFIs, change orders, schedules, and pay applications
- Coordinate with field supervisors, foremen, vendors, and subcontractors
- Maintain communication with GCs, inspectors, and client representatives
- Track job costs, labor, and materials to protect margins
- Enforce contract scope and pursue changes when applicable
- Support scheduling, manpower planning, and procurement
- Maintain accurate project documentation (Procore / Bluebeam / Excel)
Required Qualifications
- 5 years of experience managing electrical construction projects
- Strong understanding of commercial electrical systems
- Proven experience with GC coordination and project controls
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Clear communicator with strong follow-through
- Comfortable holding the line on scope, schedule, and cost
Preferred Qualifications
- Federal / DoD project experience
- Low-voltage familiarity (fire alarm, access control, comms)
- Experience with Procore, Bluebeam, MS Project or Primavera
- Arizona market experience
