- Upsell products and promote store promotions to enhance sales opportunities.
- Stock shelves, organize merchandise, and ensure the sales floor is tidy and inviting.
- Handle cash handling procedures responsibly, including cash register operations, cash drawer management, and basic math calculations for transactions.
- Support merchandising efforts by organizing displays and ensuring product knowledge aligns with store standards.
- Assist in stocking shelves and managing inventory levels to ensure product availability.
Skills
- Proven experience with POS systems and cash register operations in a retail or grocery environment.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally.
- Demonstrated upselling skills to maximize sales opportunities.
- Knowledge of retail math for accurate cash handling and transaction processing.
- Familiarity with merchandising, stocking, and product demos to enhance the shopping experience.
- Ability to handle retail store product knowledge confidently, including grocery store experience if applicable.
