We are looking for a Technician Apprentice to assemble, maintain and repair liquid fuels pump and metering equipment and assist in the assembly of tanks on chassis. General mechanical skills, ability to take directions, perform a variety of task and is self-motivation. An excellent mechanic must have manual dexterity and great attention to detail. They must be able to work with various machines and tools as well as follow all safety precautions. This is the perfect position for someone to learn various skills like welding, pipefitting, pneumatics, hydraulics and mechanical skills.

Responsibilities:
- Build and assemble specialized equipment or mechanical/ electrical components according to requirements.
- Troubleshoot reported problems and resolve them in a timely manner.
- Assist in the assembly of fuel trucks and equipment.
- Provide consultation on various equipment options to customer.
- Undertake other duties as assigned (e.g. repair of hydraulic systems, calibration of pumps and meters, testing and troubleshooting).
- Keep logs of work and report on issues.
- Overnight travel may be occasionally required.
- CDL B, tank, HAZMAT and Air Brake Endorsements Required.
Hourly rate of pay based on experience.
Skills:
- Aptitude in using various hand tools (screwdrivers, hammers etc.) and power tools.
- Ability to follow established procedures and practices
- A strong commitment to all health and safety guidelines.
- Very good communication skills.
- A problem-solving ability.
- Very good physical strength and stamina.
- High school diploma is preferred; Certification from a vocational school or completion of apprenticeship is a definite plus.
- Must be or willing to obtain Maryland, PA, NJ, NY, DE, VA Weights and Measures certification for Liquid and LPG.
- Positive Attitude a must.
