Liquid I.V. is a 360-degree wellness company based in El Segundo, CA, created to fuel life’s adventures. Our product line features great-tasting, non-GMO electrolyte drink mixes utilizing Cellular Transport Technology (CTT)® to enhance rapid absorption of water and other key ingredients into the bloodstream—helping consumers feel better, faster.

Our products are stocked in over 30,000 doors across the country, including the world’s leading specialty, big box, and online retailers such as Costco, Walmart, Target, Amazon, and many more. About the role:
We are seeking an experienced and visionary Creative Director to lead our creative team (designers, copywriters, and videographers/editors) and oversee the development and execution of all in-house creative initiatives for Liquid I.V. For the first time at Liquid I.V. we are unifying our creative team under one leader with an ambition to step-change our creative craft and elevate our brand story-telling and product marketing. This person will be responsible for setting the creative vision for memorable, high impact, high quality campaigns for anything from a new product launch through to an organic social campaign, impact/purpose marketing campaigns, or even corporate comms materials; all in-house content will be owned by this team and led by this Creative Director.

This person will also be responsible for managing career growth and development/coaching for the creative talent on our team. This person will be in touch with cultural trends, willing to pioneer the latest innovations in creative techniques, and willing to push the bounds on creativity and disruption to help build an iconic brand. This role requires a high degree of leadership as well as collaboration, they will partner with the brand team including our Sr. Brand Director, to bring these campaigns to life and will be expected to collaborate with external agency partners as needed given Liquid I.V. operates in a hybrid model with select agency partners.

Responsibilities include but not limited to:
  • Lead, manage and develop a team of creative professionals, including graphic designers, copywriters, and videographers/editors.
  • Foster a culture of disruptive innovation, creativity, and collaboration. Bring out the best in our creative team.
  • Set the creative direction for all in-house creative projects, ensuring that each campaign brings to life the Liquid I.V. brand equity, and elevates our creative story-telling and the quality of our work.
  • Develop and oversee the execution of creative concepts and ideas, ensuring they meet the highest standards of quality and effectiveness.
  • Responsible for all packaging design, retail display/POS materials.
  • Responsible for all social creative paid and organic.
  • Responsible for 360 visual identity and creative execution (eg. Activations footprints, large scale OOH).
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and developments in the advertising and creative industries and apply them to our work.
  • Collaborate closely with the brand team/consumer insights team to ensure that creative work is aligned with business priorities, on strategy for the brand, and brings to life relevant, relatable insights.
  • Collaborate closely with PM team and brand teams to ensure work is delivered on time and within budget.
  • Present creative work to brand teams and leadership teams as needed.
  • Mentor and develop team members to help them reach their full potential and advance their careers.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in advertising, marketing, design, or a related field required.
  • 10 years of experience in a creative leadership role, preferably some experience in an advertising agency environment.
  • Demonstrated track record of developing and executing successful creative campaigns across various media channels.
  • Strong leadership skills with experience leading a creative team (copy & visual) and the ability to inspire truly breakthrough work.
  • Must have the passion and energy it takes to get on this journey to catapult Liquid I.V. to $1B!
  • A modern leader, effective team player and an individual who is highly collaborative cross- functionally with the ability to guide a team in alignment with the organization’s marketing goals.
  • Ability to communicate, present and influence all levels of the organization, including executive and C-level.

Work Environment:
  • Office environment with flexibility for industry events. Most responsibilities of this job will be handled from the office.

The expected base salary range for this position is $175,000 to $210,000. The exact base salary is determined by various factors including experience, skills, education, geographic location, internal company equity, and budget.

Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
