Position Overview
Giddings Hawkins is seeking an experienced Wisconsin Master Plumber to help establish and lead the company’s plumbing service capabilities within its growing sewer, drain, wastewater, and environmental service operations throughout Wisconsin.
This is a high-impact opportunity for a licensed professional who wants to play a foundational role in building and shaping a plumbing division within an established environmental services organization. The ideal candidate brings advanced technical expertise, strong regulatory knowledge, leadership capability, and the ability to independently oversee plumbing operations across commercial, industrial, municipal, and infrastructure-related environments.
This position will serve as a key technical and compliance leader for the organization and is intended for a professional capable of supervising plumbing work, supporting permit-driven operations, and helping guide the future growth of the plumbing division.
Key Responsibilities
Due to the nature of the work and the company’s long-term operational goals, this role specifically requires an active Wisconsin Master Plumber License. Candidates without a Master Plumber credential will not be considered for this position.
Compensation & Position Value
Hourly Pay: $40 - 45 per hour, based on experience, technical capability, infrastructure knowledge, and leadership background.

Key Responsibilities
- Perform advanced plumbing, sewer, and drain diagnostics, repairs, and installations across commercial, industrial, municipal, and residential systems
- Independently troubleshoot complex plumbing and sewer issues, including structural failures, blockages, corrosion, drainage issues, and code compliance concerns
- Perform and oversee plumbing work in compliance with Wisconsin plumbing codes and applicable local municipal regulations
- Coordinate permits, inspections, and code-related documentation when required
- Serve as the company’s primary licensed plumbing resource and support the development of future plumbing operations and personnel
- Provide technical oversight and guidance to journeyman plumbers, apprentices, and field technicians as the department expands
- Operate and maintain professional sewer and environmental service equipment including hydro-jetters, inspection cameras, drain machines, and vacuum/vactor systems
- Service and repair sewer lines, storm drains, catch basins, grease traps, lift stations, and related infrastructure
- Interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical specifications
- Ensure all work meets safety, quality, and regulatory standards
- Communicate professionally with customers, contractors, municipal inspectors, and internal operations teams
- Accurately document work performed, materials used, and project outcomes
- Active Wisconsin Master Plumber License (required)
- Minimum 5 years of hands-on plumbing and/or sewer infrastructure experience
- Demonstrated ability to independently perform and supervise plumbing work within Wisconsin code and regulatory standards
- Strong knowledge of plumbing systems, sewer infrastructure, storm drainage, wastewater systems, and permit/compliance processes
- Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record
- Ability to pass background check and drug screening
- Physical ability to perform field work, including lifting, confined spaces, outdoor conditions, and emergency response work when necessary
- Experience with sewer cleaning, hydro-jetting, storm sewer systems, and catch basin work
- Experience working with municipal inspectors, permitting processes, and code enforcement
- CDL or experience operating heavy service vehicles including vacuum or vactor trucks
- Commercial, industrial, wastewater, or infrastructure-level plumbing experience
- Experience mentoring or supervising plumbing personnel or technical field teams
- Experience helping establish or expand a plumbing or service operation
