Key Responsibilities
- Assist with the installation and repair of septic systems and drain fields, including digging trenches, laying pipes, and connecting tanks.
- Help locate, access, and assess septic system components.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks such as pumping, cleaning, and inspecting tanks.
- Operate basic tools and equipment, including shovels, hand tools, and machinery (once trained).
- Assist lead technicians with troubleshooting and diagnosing septic system issues.
- Load and unload equipment, ensuring all tools and materials are prepared for each job.
- Maintain clean and organized workspaces, including vehicles and equipment.
- Follow safety protocols and ensure compliance with local and state regulations.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to perform manual labor, including digging, lifting, and bending.
- Mechanical aptitude and a willingness to learn the operation of specialized septic equipment.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to follow instructions.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
- Comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Previous experience in plumbing, construction, or septic services is a plus but not required.
- Work involves physical labor in outdoor environments, including exposure to varied weather and occasionally unpleasant odors.
