Cornerstone is a full-service restaurant, bar, beer garden, event space and 500-person live music venue. Located in the heart of Berkeley, Cornerstone is the spot for great food, cheer and music.
The Assistant Manager is responsible for ensuring guests receive a dining experience that will exceed their expectations.
Overseeing operations of the restaurant and bar with the goal of delivering excellence in all areas of service and hospitality. Provide leadership by promoting teamwork, communicating with guests courteously and resolving conflicts or guest issues promptly.
Assist with supervision of direct hourly staff to adhere to all protocols, procedures and standards. The FOH Manager is responsible for the reputation of Cornerstone and strive for the highest standards of food and beverages, health, safety and security for guests.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
· Work directly with ownership
· Daily cash management and reconciliation
· Appropriately assign tasks to staff
· Assist with training staff
· Strong interpersonal and critical thinking skills
· Attention to detail and good organizational skills
· Customer service focus
· Strong knowledge of food, beverage and hospitality
· Calm under pressure
· Experience with POS systems
- Must be available to work Thurs, Fri & Sat evenings
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
· Ability to bartend if needed
· At least one year managerial experience in like establishment
· Experience with POS systems
· Current RBS and Food Handlers card or the ability to obtain within thirty days of hiring

Pay: $22.00 - $25.00 per hour
