Responsibilities
- Assist in supervising daily store operations, including opening and closing procedures, cash handling, and ensuring store cleanliness and safety standards are met.
- Lead and motivate team members through effective training, employee orientation, and ongoing development initiatives to enhance performance and customer engagement.
- Manage inventory control by overseeing stock levels, conducting merchandising, stocking shelves, and coordinating purchasing activities to meet sales goals.
- Support sales management efforts by implementing promotional strategies, monitoring sales targets, and ensuring excellent customer service at all times.
- Handle cashiering duties using POS (Point of Sale) systems, process transactions accurately, and manage pricing adjustments as needed.
- Oversee shift management by organizing schedules, delegating tasks efficiently, and ensuring smooth store operations during peak hours.
- Maintain organized bookkeeping records related to payroll, sales reports, inventory logs, and other administrative tasks.
- Foster effective communication within the team by providing clear instructions, feedback, and support to promote a collaborative environment.
Experience
- Proven supervisory or assistant manager experience within the liquor business.
- Demonstrated expertise in retail math including sales management, budgeting, pricing strategies, and inventory management.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage customers fluently in multiple languages or bilingually if applicable.
- Experience with POS systems, cashiering procedures, merchandising techniques, and stock control processes.
