What are the responsibilities and job description for the Collaborative Pianist, School of Music - College of Entertainment and the Arts (Pool) position at Lipscomb University?
Accompanying vocal private lessons as assigned across many genres. Private students taking lessons may study many genres, including classical, musical theatre, commercial, jazz, folk, pop, adult contemporary, and others. Preference given to pianists who are adept at reading charts, sheet music, and scores. Collaborative Pianists are also expected to provide a weekly 30 minute rehearsal with each student.
Collaborate at Recital Seminar on Mondays at 5:00 pm as needed.
Collaboration for ensembles as assigned.
Education/Experience: Undergraduate degree in piano, conducting, music education, and/or comparable experience. Experience working with singers across many styles preferred.
