Industrial Maintenance Technician II 

3 Day Work Week!  F-Sun 5pm-5am

Our Industrial Maintenance Technicians provide services to ensure that equipment, machinery, and facilities are kept in optimal condition to prevent breakdowns, minimize downtime, extend their lifespan, and ensure safe an efficient operation. They are responsible for safely and effectively troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining operations and production equipment at a pace that meets production demands. All Maintenance positions support operations and production when necessary.

Responsibilities

• Use hand tools, power tools, and welders to perform preventative maintenance and moderately complex repairs of production and processing equipment as well as utility related equipment, following all safety procedures. 

• Maintain and repair buildings' plumbing, HVAC, air compressors, boilers, fire systems and electrical systems, including replacing worn or defective parts such as switches and fuses. 

• Ensure all repairs are documented in the CMMS. 

• Responsible for adhering to Lippert core values, safety guidelines, and lean initiatives  

• Adhere to and promote all safety policies and procedures including, but not limited to the proper handling of hazardous waste, lock out/tag out program and hearing and eye protection policies. 

• Required to request support, as necessary, from other Maintenance Technicians and Maintenance leadership. 

• Assist with the installation of new equipment and participate in reviewing safety prior to it going live. 

• Assist the machine operators with training and moderately complex troubleshooting to minimize equipment downtime. 

• Provide training or coaching to Maintenance Tech 1  
• This is a full-time hourly position, and hours of work and days are based upon the need to support operations and production. Some Saturdays may be mandatory. 

• Perform other related duties and participate in special projects as assigned.  

Qualifications: 

• Work Experience: 3 years of Industrial Maintenance experience 

• Education: Associate degree: Electrical-Mechanical, Industrial Mechanics or similar 

• Computer Skills: CMMS, Microsoft Office 

• Cross-functional skills: Ability to complete multiple job assignments including machine operation, fabrication, welding. 

• Communication Skills: Ability to communicate within a team setting 

• Physical, Mental and Visual Skills:  Ability to lift 100 pounds, walk, stand, bend and twist, climb ladders, work from elevated positions, operate fork, scissor and boom lifts, ability to see up close, in color and adjust focus, read schematics and blueprints. 

Preferred Education and Experience: 

• Concrete - Experience pouring and finishing concrete 

• Basic Fabrication - Ability to weld or experience with basic metal fabrication 

• Overhead Doors - Experience diagnosing/resolving issues with overhead doors  

• Rigging - Experience rigging and moving equipment with a boom 

• Multimeter - Experience with a meter or other electrical test equipment 

• Repair - Education/Experience with machine operation and repair  

• Mechanical - Experience with servicing pneumatic compressors 

• Conveyors - Experience servicing overhead conveyor systems 

• Coating - Experience servicing coating or blasting systems 

• Programmable Logic Control - Education/Experience servicing programmable logic systems
