  • Summary/Objective:  

     

    As the head of the shared service function of accounting, this position will be responsible for leading the team and functions of accounts payable, accounts receivable, cash applications and credit/collections.  

     

    Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Cultivate, enhance, and lead a positive work environment. 
  • Recruit, hire and coach top level talent. 
  • Develop, establish and maintain best in class processes for order-to-cash and procure-to-pay.  
  • Use current technology and technical knowledge to solve issues and implement change. This can include discovery and design of new workflows. 
  • Develop the road map to success including continuous improvement for increasing efficiency.  
  • Employ project management theories to guide the team through continuous improvement efforts.  
  • Produce and analyze weekly/monthly KPIs, dashboards and analytics to measure and improve performance, predict resourcing needs, and department budgeting.  
  • Partner with experts to develop an impact measure plan to define value.  
  • Manages and administers controls and compliance, assists with both internal and external audits to ensure complete, timely and accurate responses to information requests. 
  • Foster a strong customer service culture across the team to ensure a quality service is delivered to all internal and external customers. 
  • Builds and maintains relationships by collaborating across business units and departments to foster trust, commitment, accountability, and results. 
  • Explore opportunities to implement emerging technologies.  
  • Assists with special financial and business-related projects which impact shared services. 
  • Working Conditions: 

     

    • Primarily working indoors, office environment. 
    • May sit for several hours at a time. 
    • Prolonged exposure to computer screens. 
    • Repetitive use of hands to operate computers, printers, and copiers. 

     

    Qualifications: 

  • B.A/B.S. in relevant field or equivalent experience (4 years). 
  • Business acumen with at least 10-12 years of business experience, or equivalent professional experience. 
  • Track record of results in strategy development and/or complex implementation. 
  • Demonstrated success in developing and executing strategies. 
  • Essential Functions: 

  • Excellent oral, written and interpersonal communication skills. 
  • Ability to prioritize workload with multiple deadlines. 
  • Demonstrated leadership skills, including track record of developing talent and managing performance. 
  • Proven problem solving, critical thinking, analytical and out-side of the box thinking skills – connecting dots and translating ideas into action. 
  • Strong ability to build and sustain collaborative relationships at multiple levels and lead cross-functional teams. 
  • Exceptional analytical, organizational, planning, and project management experience, and ability to work independently, including the ability to multi-task and manage demands and/or projects simultaneously. 
  • Business strategy experience, including benchmarking and business and process analysis.  
  • Ability to understand technical specs or employ workflow design.  
  • Competencies: 

  • Business communications, proven ability to present strategy and plans to internal partners at various levels including senior leadership. 
  • Oran and written communication proficiency. 
  • Coaching, mentoring and leading others. 
  • Basic understanding of internal policy and external accounting regulations. 
  • Problem solving. 
  • Data driven decision making. 
  • Basic understanding of lean management.  
  • Best in class process for Order-to-Cash and Procure-To-Pay. 
  • Basic understanding of metric report creation. 
  • Supervisory Responsibility: 

     

    This is a supervisory role.  

     

    Physical Demands: 

    The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by a Team Member to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. 

    While performing the duties of this job, the Team Member is regularly required to talk and hear. This position may be active and requires standing and sitting with occasional walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing throughout the workday. The Team Member may have to lift and/or move items over 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.  

     

    Position Type/Expected Hours of Work: 

     

    This is a full-time salaried position. Typically, Monday through Friday 8-5 p.m. with occasional night and weekend hours.  

     

    Travel: 

     

    Travel will be minimal and would be primarily local during the business day. 

     

    Preferred Education and Experience

  • Master’s Degree in relevant field or certifications in O2C/P2P 
  • Manufacturing/industry experience. 
  • Management/leadership experience. 
  • D365 Finance and Operations is a plus.  
  •
