AMAZON ROUTES REGIONAL TRUCK DRIVER CDL-A

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Amazon Routes Regional Truck Driver with a CDL-A license to join our team. This role involves over-the-road (OTR) commercial truck driving, primarily focusing on regional routes. The driver will be responsible for safely transporting shipments across designated routes while adhering to all DOT regulations. The position offers a balanced schedule, with two nights/rest cycles on the road and five nights at home, providing a great work-life balance. This role does not require assistance with loading or unloading, as shipments are drop-and-hook deliveries.

Responsibilities

• Operate commercial trucks safely and efficiently on over-the-road regional routes in compliance with DOT regulations.
• Transport shipments between distribution centers and delivery points, ensuring timely and secure deliveries.
• Follow all safety protocols and traffic laws to maintain a safe driving environment.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure proper functioning and safety standards are met.
• Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, mileage, and delivery documentation in accordance with DOT requirements.
• Communicate effectively with dispatchers and team members regarding route updates or issues encountered during trips.
• Adhere to scheduled rest cycles, spending two nights on the road and five nights at home each week.
• Handle drop-and-hook shipments without assistance in loading or unloading cargo.

Qualifications

• Valid CDL-A license with clean driving record.
• Proven experience in commercial truck driving, preferably in over-the-road (OTR) or regional routes.
• Knowledge of DOT regulations and safety standards related to commercial trucking.
• Ability to operate large trucks safely over long distances while maintaining attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills for effective coordination with dispatch and team members.
• Flexibility to spend two nights/rest cycles on the road and five nights at home each week.
• Commitment to safety, punctuality, and professionalism in all aspects of the job.
