What are the responsibilities and job description for the Salesforce Administrator OR Sr. Salesforce Administrator position at Lions International?
What you'll do as a Salesforce Administrator:
- Salesforce configuration changes, including (but not limited to): Screen flows, assignment rules, validation rules, approval processes, fields, page layouts, record types, dynamic layouts, apps, actions, mobile administration, dashboards and reports.
- User and license management including new user setup/deactivation, roles, profiles, permissions, public groups, organization wide defaults, sharing rules.
- Sandbox environment management.
- Data management to improve Salesforce data quality, implementing rules and automation as needed.
- Resolve user support tickets.
- Proactive system maintenance including Security Reviews, Release Updates, Health Check, and Optimizer.
- Identify and gather requirements, translating into best practice, scalable solutions with a focus on exceptional user experience.
- Identify unused or underutilized platform features.
- Communication of any platform changes to end users and stakeholders.
- Monitor and improve user adoption.
- Provide user training and create relevant training materials.
- Handle technical documentation.
- Implement Salesforce configuration changes, including (but not limited to): custom objects, formula fields, rollup summaries, triggers, custom settings and custom metadata types.
- DevOps/release management including: change set preparation, promotion of change sets through environments and deployments using a third party tool such as Gearset.
- Management of integrated applications from third-party suppliers.
- Identifying and gathering complex business requirements from users and stakeholders, translating them into scalable solutions.
- Mentoring of junior employees and occasional oversight of their work.
- Creates high-level and detailed work effort estimates for proposed technical solutions.
- Assist in documenting processes and workflows to strengthen institutional knowledge.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement within Salesforce.
- Resolve user support tickets.
We’re Looking for Someone With:
- A Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field; equivalent experience with a high school diploma may be considered.
- Understanding of Salesforce sharing and security (roles, profiles, permissions, OWD, sharing rules).
- Strong Salesforce knowledge through a minimum of 3 years of direct Salesforce Administration experience.
- NPSP Salesforce Experience Cloud (Community) and Lightning experience a big plus.
- Understanding of Salesforce sharing and security (roles, profiles, permissions, OWD, sharing rules).
- Experience implementing Salesforce configuration changes including (but not limited to): Flow, fields, page layouts, record types, custom settings, dashboards and reports.
- Experience using important wizard and/or data loader.
- Excellent relationship-building skills and ability to liaise with stakeholders at all levels.
- Ability to gather requirements and propose technical solutions.
- Trailhead Badges/Super Badges
- Administrator Certification preferred.
- Knowledge of triggers and APEX
In addition to the qualifications listed above, a Sr. Salesforce Administrator would bring:
- A minimum of 7 years general IT experience, with at least 5 years Salesforce Administration specialization.
- In-depth understanding of Salesforce sharing and security, including organization wide defaults and sharing rules.
- DevOps/release management experience using 3rd party Salesforce release management tools (e.g. Gearset, Copado, etc.) ideal.
- Advanced Administrator and Platform App Builder Certifications desired.
- Experience with Validity Demand Tools to manage data is a big plus.
- Sandbox environment management experience a plus.
- Excellent relationship-building skills, with the ability to act as a mentor and subject matter expert -- liaise with stakeholders at all levels.
- Ability to gather requirements, and both design and propose scalable, technical solutions.
- Knowledge of both apex and Aptify a plus.
