Duties
- Greet guests warmly and assist with menu selections, including food, craft beers, spirits, and wine options
- Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, utilizing skills in mixology and beverage recipe development
- Operate POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS to process orders accurately and efficiently
- Manage cash transactions with precision, ensuring proper cash handling and cashiering procedures
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area, adhering to food safety standards and sanitation protocols
- Engage with guests to enhance their experience through friendly service, product knowledge, and personalized recommendations
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of food orders and coordinate catering requests when applicable
- Upsell menu items confidently to increase sales while providing excellent customer service
- Keep track of inventory levels for beverages and supplies, assisting with stock replenishment as needed
- Demonstrate strong time management skills to handle multiple tables or bar stations seamlessly during busy hours
Qualifications
- Proven experience in food service or restaurant environments, with a focus on fine dining or upscale bars preferred
- Demonstrated cocktail experience and knowledge of spirits, wine, and beverage pairing techniques
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS for order processing and cash handling
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage guests professionally and warmly
- Experience in beverage recipe development and mixology techniques to craft signature drinks
- Knowledge of food safety standards and sanitation practices within the hospitality industry
- Ability to manage time effectively in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail
- Basic math skills for processing transactions accurately and managing retail math tasks
