We are seeking a tactical and strategic Business Development Manager to contribute to growth initiatives across Federal, Defense, and State/Local government sectors (SLED).
This role is ideal for someone who:
- Understands government procurement pathways (FAR/DFARS, IDIQs, GSA, etc.)
- Has experience building trusted partnerships with program managers, contracting officers, and operators
- Can own opportunities from identification through contract award and delivery
- Build and manage long-term strategic relationships with government, defense, and public-sector stakeholders
- Identify, qualify, and pursue new business opportunities across federal and SLED markets
- Navigate and advise on government acquisition processes, including:
- GSA Schedules
- IDIQ contracts
- Sole-source pathways
- Cooperative purchasing programs
- Serve as a primary point of contact for designated key accounts, leading engagements end-to-end
- Develop and execute go-to-market strategies for public-sector growth
- Collaborate cross-functionally with operations, product, and leadership teams
- Represent LionHeart Alliance at industry events, conferences, and field engagements
- Support proposal development, pipeline management, and forecasting
- Provide consultative guidance to partners on solutions, implementation, and operational impact
- 4–10 years of experience in:
- Business Development
- Government Sales
- Public Sector Partnerships
- Strong understanding of:
- Federal contracting and procurement processes (FAR/DFARS)
- Proven ability to:
- Build and maintain high-trust client relationships
- Manage complex sales cycles in government environments
- Experience working with:
- Defense, law enforcement, or government agencies
- Strong communication, negotiation, and strategic thinking skills
- Background in:
- Military, defense, or public safety environment
- Experience with:
- SLED and/or SOCOM / DoD ecosystems
- Track record of:
- Scaling or building BD programs or market entry strategies
- Familiarity with CRM tools
- Experience leading or mentoring junior team members
