Role Description
Lion & Orb is looking for a motivated PR Intern to join our team for a 3 month internship with pay. This position is responsible for research pertaining to current client news and events, writing press releases and media list, and assisting with client accounts as needed.
While we are open to remote candidates, we have a preference for those based in Miami. This role requires an exceptional work ethic and professional writing abilities. For an intern who demonstrates high impact and reliability, there is a strong possibility of moving up within the agency following the 3 month term.
Key Responsibilities:
- Research, write, edit, and fact check press releases and other editorials; present written material by requested deadlines.
- Develop and curate customized media contact lists tailored for each client’s location, audience, and campaigns.
- Research, establish, and develop media relationships to increase interactions with client press releases (measured by company analytics).
- Identify opportunities in the news cycle to keep our clients relevant and ahead of the curve.
- Create monthly reports for client/media interactions and circulation.
- Brainstorm alongside our team to assign tasks and ensure all deadlines and deliverables are met.
- Other activities as assigned by the manager to support the agency's and clients’ growth.
Requirements:
- Currently working towards a college degree or a recent graduate in Public Relations, Marketing, or Communications.
- Strong background in researching, writing, and editing press related materials with a firm knowledge of AP Style.
- Interest particularly in Real Estate and Real Estate based technology.
- Excellent presentation skills, a problem solving aptitude, and a results driven mindset.
- Strong project and time management skills to handle 16 hours of work per week effectively.
