Full-Time | On-site in Chantilly, VA | Cloud & Full-Stack Focus
Lion Federal is seeking an experienced Software Developer SME to support mission-critical systems for a federal client. This role focuses on modernizing legacy applications, building cloud-based solutions, and contributing to scalable, secure software in an Agile environment.
What You’ll Do
- Design, develop, and maintain software applications in cloud environments (AWS)
- Modernize and transition legacy applications to cloud-based architectures
- Develop and maintain RESTful APIs and full-stack applications
- Work with Java, Spring Boot, Angular (TypeScript), and Elasticsearch
- Build and manage custom ETL processes
- Write scripts to deploy and configure applications in EC2 environments
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams using Agile/Scrum methodologies
- Perform unit testing, peer code reviews, and automated testing (e.g., Selenium)
- Support containerized and virtualized environments
- Mentor junior developers and contribute to engineering best practices
Required Qualifications
- Active TS/SCI with Polygraph
- Bachelor’s degree plus 15 years of experience (additional experience may be considered in lieu of a degree)
Strong experience with:
- Java
- Spring Boot
- Angular (TypeScript)
- Amazon Web Services (AWS)
- Experience developing solutions based on customer requirements and specifications
- Hands-on experience with custom ETL development
- Familiarity with Git, Jenkins, Selenium, and Rundeck
- Comfortable working in Linux command-line environments
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with identity and accessibility development practices
- Experience with automation and testing frameworks
- Background in containerization and modular development
- Familiarity with UI/UX design principles
- Full-stack development experience
- AWS certification
