Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated RBT (Registered Behavior Technician) Applied Behavior Analysis Therapist to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will work directly with children and individuals with developmental disabilities, including autism, to implement individualized behavior intervention plans. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful difference in clients’ lives while gaining valuable experience in behavioral health and special education.Candidate must be certified by the ABA board or have the ability to credentialed by the ABA board. Rate of pay will increase upon success completion of initial certifcation.
Responsibilities
- Implement evidence-based behavioral therapy strategies under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) to support clients’ developmental goals.
- Collect and record data on client behaviors, progress, and response to interventions accurately and efficiently.
- Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including grooming, dressing, feeding, and other self-care routines.
- Use applied behavior analysis techniques to promote communication, social skills, and adaptive behaviors.
- Maintain detailed medical documentation, care plans, and behavioral records in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Support the development of individualized treatment plans by providing consistent behavioral management strategies.
- Foster a positive and engaging environment that encourages learning and growth for children and individuals with autism or other developmental disabilities.
Qualifications
- Valid certification as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) or eligibility to obtain certification.
- Experience or interest in working with children or individuals with developmental disabilities.
- Knowledge of behavioral therapy principles, applied behavior analysis (ABA), and behavior management techniques.
- Ability to collect data systematically and maintain accurate medical records.
- Strong understanding of medical terminology related to behavioral health and special education.
- Excellent patience, communication skills, and a compassionate approach to patient care.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team while adhering to confidentiality standards such as HIPAA.
