Responsibilities
- Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support
- Monitor patients’ health by taking vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, and temperature; report any concerns promptly
- Administer medications accurately following care plans while adhering to HIPAA regulations for patient privacy
- Support residents with meal preparation, feeding, and ensuring proper nutrition in accordance with dietary needs
- Conduct patient observation to identify changes in condition or behavior, especially in memory care or dementia settings
- Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing light cleaning duties and ensuring infection control protocols are followed
- Use specialized equipment such as Hoyer lifts or resident lifts safely during transfers and mobility assistance
- Document care activities thoroughly in compliance with healthcare standards and facility policies
- Provide emotional support and companionship to residents, fostering a positive atmosphere that encourages social interaction
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals, social workers, and family members to develop and implement personalized care plans
Qualifications
- Experience working in assisted living, nursing homes, group homes, or home & community care environments preferred
- Knowledge of patient care techniques including CPR, first aid, Alzheimer’s & dementia care, hospice care, and autism support
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely when assisting residents with mobility or transfers
- Familiarity with medication administration and vital signs monitoring
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with residents, families, and team members
- Certification in CPR and first aid required; additional certifications such as HIPAA training are a plus
- Prior experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or memory impairments is highly valued

Pay: $13.25 - $13.90 per hour
Expected hours: 20 – 38 per week
