The CMA will play a vital role in providing exceptional care to our residents by accurately administering medications, monitoring their health, and ensuring their comfort during the night hours. This is a critical position, requiring attention to detail, reliability, and a passion for improving the quality of life for our residents.
Key Responsibilities :
- Administer medications to residents as per physician orders and facility protocols, ensuring accurate documentation and compliance with all regulations.
- Monitor residents for any side effects or reactions to medications and report any concerns to the Charge Nurse or Director of Nursing.
- Assist in the preparation and management of medication carts, ensuring all medications are stored securely and maintained according to safety standards.
- Provide general support to residents by assisting with personal care needs, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming, when necessary.
- Respond to resident calls and requests promptly and compassionately.
- Collaborate with nursing staff and other healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality care and support individualized care plans.
- Observe and document changes in resident conditions, reporting any concerns to the appropriate medical personnel.
- Maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA guidelines regarding resident information.
- Ensure a clean and safe environment for residents, following all infection control protocols.
- Assist with light housekeeping duties when needed, including maintaining cleanliness of medication storage areas and resident rooms.
