Position Summary
The Physical Therapist Assistant provides physical therapy treatments under the direction and supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist. This role supports residents in achieving their mobility and recovery goals as part of an interdisciplinary care team.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver therapy services in accordance with the treatment plan established by the Physical Therapist
- Monitor patient progress and communicate findings to the supervising therapist
- Accurately document daily treatments, patient responses, and progress using systems such as Casamba and PointClickCare
- Assist with discharge planning and family education regarding home exercises or mobility assistance
- Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and facility guidelines and policies
- Collaborate with nursing, therapy, and administrative teams to support quality resident care
- Associate's degree from an accredited PTA program
- Current PTA license in good standing in the State of California
- Skilled nursing or post-acute care experience preferred
- Strong communication, teamwork, and organizational skills
- Proficient with electronic medical records and therapy documentation platforms
