Summary
Compiles data and prepares invoices for customers. Process all types of files. Identify the type of services provided, calculate the appropriate charges due, and invoice customers.
Posts cash receipts against aging, and documents calls made on delinquent accounts.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
Reads computer files and/or gathers records such as bill of lading, AR23, inventories, exception sheets, and local tickets in order to compile needed data. Computes amounts due and enters information into computer system.
Prepares invoices. This includes listing materials sold, services provided and amounts due.
Prepares credit memos to indicate incorrectly billed services.
Posts transactions to accounting records.
Contacts other agents to either send or receive information pertinent to individual moves.
Post cash receipts.
Send out requested documents.
Maintain filing.
Make soft collection calls.
Maintains records on and actively attempts to reduce overdue balances.
Backup AP when needed.
GL Account Analysis when needed.
Perform other similar duties as directed.
Skills, Knowledge, And Abilities
Good oral and written communication skills. The ability to think logically, read and interpret documents, write simple correspondence, and effectively present information in one-on-one situations with customers or other employees. The ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, commissions, and percentages as well as the ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, and proportions to practical situations. The ability to solve practical problems, where only limited standardization exists. The ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written or oral form.

The physical demands of standing, walking, and sitting, using one's hands, talking and hearing are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
