Job Summary
We are seeking a high-level Construction Superintendent to lead large-scale projects within the Cleveland market. This is a pure leadership and management role focused on site execution, subcontractor coordination, and municipal accountability. They must have deep roots in the local subcontractor ecosystem and a proven track record of managing complex, high-stakes builds. This is a management position; it is not a hands-on trade or working foreman role.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage all on-site construction activities from initial mobilization through final project completion.
- Oversee diverse groups of subcontractors, ensuring strict adherence to master schedules and quality standards.
- Direct multiple crews and field teams with clear authority to maintain project momentum.
- Coordinate daily with project managers, municipal inspectors, and ownership representatives.
- Ensure all projects stay precisely on schedule and within the defined technical scope.
- Maintain rigorous site safety protocols and enforce OSHA compliance across all trades.
- Manage daily reporting, digital schedules, and project documentation using modern construction software.
- Conduct regular site walk-throughs to identify and resolve potential bottlenecks before they impact the timeline.
- Represent the company with professional excellence during all interactions on active job sites.
- Manage logistics for projects exceeding 60,000 square feet, including material staging and site flow.
- Facilitate onsite meetings with stakeholders to provide progress updates and address design changes.
- Resolve field-level conflicts and technical issues to ensure a collaborative and productive work environment.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- 5-10 years of proven construction leadership experience
- Strong Ground-Up and Tenant Improvement (TI) background
- Hospital or Healthcare project experience is mandatory
- Proven success managing projects of 60,000 sq. ft.
- Must be based in Cleveland with a deep understanding of local subs and regulations
- Computer literate with proficiency in project management and reporting tools
