Responsibilities
- Safely load and unload shipments using various material handling equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, clamp trucks, and cranes.
- Operate RF scanners to accurately track inventory movements during shipping and receiving processes.
- Perform manual handling tasks including heavy lifting to move goods within the warehouse.
- Assist in order picking activities to fulfill customer orders quickly and accurately.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area to promote safety and efficiency in warehouse operations.
- Follow all safety protocols in accordance with OSHA standards to prevent accidents and injuries.
- Support inventory management by conducting regular stock counts and updating records accordingly.
Experience
- Previous warehouse distribution or materials handling experience preferred.
- Familiarity with warehouse operations including shipping & receiving, order picking, and inventory management.
- Experience operating heavy equipment such as forklifts, clamp trucks, cranes, or material handling equipment is highly desirable.
- Prior supervisory experience in a warehouse setting is a plus but not required.
- Knowledge of safety procedures related to OSHA regulations and heavy lifting techniques.
- Basic math skills for counting, measuring, and verifying shipments.
- Comfort working with RF scanners, pallet jacks, load & unload tasks, and other warehouse tools.
