Position Overview
Our client in the Aerospace industry is seeking an experienced and highly skilled Avionics Technician III located in Parker, CO. In this role, you will utilize your expertise to perform critical avionics maintenance, installation, and troubleshooting in strict accordance with FCC, FAA, and company regulations. This is a safety-sensitive position vital to aviation operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform avionics installation, testing, troubleshooting, and repair of complex components.
- Route wires accurately according to technical drawings, blueprints, and schematics.
- Maintain, calibrate, and care for test equipment, tools, and technical manuals.
- Operate and supervise vehicles, heavy equipment, or machinery as required for aviation duties.
- Safely handle, inspect, and transport equipment, structures, and potentially hazardous materials.
Experience & Education
- Education: High School Diploma or GED equivalent required. (A higher-level degree may substitute for experience; relevant experience may be considered in lieu of education).
- Experience: Typically 5 years of relevant avionics experience.
- Security:Day-one security clearance is required.
- Tools: Must possess your own tools in good, working order.
- Technical Literacy: Ability to read, understand, and interpret basic technical schematics, diagrams, blueprints, and publications.
- Avionics Tooling: Advanced skills with avionics installation tooling, wiring, wiring repair, wiring installation, soldering, and crimping techniques.
- Familiarity with FCC regulations and holding an FCC GROL (General Radiotelephone Operator License).
- Basic understanding of testing equipment such as spectrometers, oscilloscopes, and/or pitot-static equipment.
- Professional background within the Aerospace & Defense industry, the US Department of Defense (DoD), or the US Military.
Physical & Sensory Requirements
- Frequent walking, sitting, standing, and climbing of stairs/steps.
- Frequent repetitive hand, arm, and finger motions requiring high manual dexterity.
- Excellent vision abilities (close, distance, depth perception, and color differentiation).
- Acute hearing abilities to discern various tones and volumes.
- Occasional lifting and carrying of equipment weighing up to 50 lbs.
- Safety-Sensitive: Responsible for the safety and security of people, vehicles, and property.
- Frequent exposure to outdoor elements (fluctuating high/low temperatures, sun, rain, and snow).
- Frequent exposure to loud noises, fumes, and hazardous chemicals/materials.
