Links Technology is currently seeking a motivated and skilled Structural Technician III to join our client's team in Colorado Springs or Englewood, Colorado. Our client is a leading Aerospace and Defense firm. This is a Contract role offering the opportunity to work on cutting-edge aerospace vehicles in a safety-critical role.
Responsibilities of the Structural Technician III:
- Assemble major assembly structures and perform minor part-fitting operations, including filing, sawing, trimming, riveting, drilling, and reaming.
- Align parts on jigs and aerospace vehicles using templates and fixtures.
- Read and interpret technical schematics, blueprints, and manuals to complete installations per technical drawings.
- Measure parts with micrometers and calipers to verify dimensions and ensure quality control.
- Modify incomplete and complete assemblies, incorporating changes into the structure as required.
Qualifications of the Structural Technician III:
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- 5 years of hands-on experience in aerospace structural assembly.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical blueprints, diagrams, and schematics.
- Experience with installing various fasteners (e.g., rivets, hi-locks) and using precision measuring tools (micrometers, calipers).
- Familiarity with airframe corrosion removal and repair techniques.
- Must own and maintain a set of tools in good working order.
- Strong attention to detail and a safety-first mindset.
- Ability to frequently lift or carry up to 50 lbs and work in various environmental conditions.
