We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced In-Vehicle Infotainment System Engineer to join a high-impact automotive program. We are looking for professionals with strong expertise in Infotainment software architecture, cross-domain integrations, and automotive system engineering.
Position: In-Vehicle Infotainment System Engineer
Location : Plano, TX
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead, execute, and deliver cross-generation / cross-domain Infotainment programs from a technical and architectural perspective.
- Understand end-to-end Infotainment software design and architecture.
- Work on cross-domain integrations and APIs used for communication with Infotainment software.
- Perform triage and deep technical analysis of in-market issues, including specification reviews, user impact analysis, and system architectural reviews.
- Coordinate with quality and factory teams to align vehicle milestones and mitigate risks with countermeasure plans.
- Collaborate with stakeholders and headquarters teams in Japan to align software release schedules and overall vehicle milestones.
Required Skills & Experience:
- 12 years of overall experience.
- 3 years of hands-on experience in In-Vehicle Infotainment Design and Architecture.
- Experience with UML/SysML diagrams for Infotainment systems.
- Experience defining and reviewing Infotainment APIs.
- Strong experience in Infotainment software development.
- Good understanding of integrations between Infotainment systems and other ECUs such as Cluster, Camera, etc.
- Strong troubleshooting and root cause analysis skills.
- Solid understanding of automotive Infotainment hardware and software stacks.
- Excellent PowerPoint and presentation skills.
- Strong communication, stakeholder management, and collaboration abilities.
- Ability to work in fast-paced environments with quick decision-making.
- Strong technical and product management capabilities to drive suppliers and stakeholders.
Nice to Have:
- Japanese language proficiency
- Executive reporting experience
Educational Qualification:
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
