Unarmed Security Officer

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and vigilant Security Officer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for our clients, employees, and visitors. This role involves monitoring premises, enforcing security policies, and responding to incidents as they arise. A strong background in security is preferred, along with the ability to manage conflicts effectively.

Duties

• Monitor and patrol assigned areas to ensure safety and security.
• Respond promptly to alarms, incidents, and emergencies.
• Conduct regular surveillance using CCTV systems to detect suspicious activities.
• Enforce rules and regulations to maintain order and safety on the premises.
• Provide assistance during emergencies, including administering first aid when necessary.
• Prepare detailed reports of incidents, observations, and activities for record-keeping.
• Collaborate with law enforcement agencies when required.
• Engage in loss prevention strategies to minimize theft or damage.

Skills

• Strong background in law enforcement or military service is highly desirable.
• Knowledge of loss prevention techniques and strategies.
• Proficiency in operating CCTV systems and surveillance equipment.
• Certification in CPR and First Aid is a plus.
• Excellent conflict management skills with the ability to de-escalate tense situations.
• Strong observational skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Good communication skills both verbally and in writing.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 32 – 40 per week
