Quality Inspector (Aerospace)

Job Title: Quality Inspector
Schedule: Full-Time | 1st Shift
Pay: $20.00 – $23.00 per hour | Contract-to-hire

Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented Quality Inspector to support aerospace manufacturing operations in Roseville, MI. This is a contract-to-hire opportunity with long-term potential.

The ideal candidate will have experience in mechanical inspection, blueprint reading, and quality documentation, along with a willingness to learn and grow within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Read and interpret work orders, inspection manuals, and blueprints to determine inspection requirements 
• Inspect materials, in-process work, and finished products for conformance to specifications 
• Perform visual and dimensional inspections using measurement tools 
• Record inspection data and compare results against engineering drawings and standards 
• Mark and document products as accepted or rejected based on findings 
• Test and measure components and assemblies to verify functionality and accuracy 
• Communicate inspection results with team members and supervisors 
• Maintain clear, accurate, and organized inspection records 
• Assist with problem-solving and continuous improvement initiatives 
• Follow all quality policies, procedures, and work instructions 
• Support compliance with aerospace manufacturing quality standards 
• Perform additional duties as assigned 

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required 
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in mechanical inspection and visual quality standards 
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings 
• Experience with measurement tools and inspection equipment 
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook 
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills 
• Ability to communicate effectively and work within a team
